Where have we been?

Between a new house and new blog and just being busy it has been awhile sense I updated. This is what we have been up too.

Memorial Day weekend we went and visited Rob's and my grandparents graves (those who have passed on). this took us to American Fork, Murry, Brigham City and Newton.
lunch in American Fork

Brig found his name

In June we had the annual Steiner Reunion. This year we went to a cabin that had entertainment right there on the property.

large pond

sand for the kids

baby shower for my sis-in-law Bethany

game playing

shooting guns

swimming?

hanging out with great Grandpa

magic shows?

We also had ziplines. one over land and one over the water.
(we will not discuss my graceful fall.)

So far in July we have had fun on the fourth of July. We went to the parade, went out to eat for lunch, Rob and Dean went with cousins to see the movie Cars 2, and we ended the day with a wienie roast and fireworks at our house.

Where the Wild Things Are.

so we rented the movie "Where the Wild Things Are" last night for FHE. I have wanted to see this ever sense I heard it was coming to theaters. I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasn't it. It was cute and the wild things were amazingly like the book, but I kept expecting some lesson or something learned, but it never came, or at least I didn't catch it. Dean liked it, but did get a little scared at some points and had to sit on Daddy's lap. I'm not sure I would buy it, but it wasn't a bad movie.

Rob and I went to see "Old Dogs" last Thursday for our date night. It was very funny. I love Robin Williams and John Travolta, they are two of my favorite actors. It was great to get some laughs in.

I'm planning on using my free Redbox code tomorrow to rent "The Time Traveler's Wife". It looks good.

Blogging

So I have become really lazy at blogging ever sense I signed up for facebook over a year ago. I didn't even average one blog a month last year. I am going to set a new goal of blogging a few times a week. okay so maybe it is a little ambitious to expect that much of a change, but I'm going to try. I may take some ideas from some of you out there, so take it as flattery rather than offensive that I am coping you.
I just want to start out today talking about my date I went out on with my hubby last night. We go out on Thursday nights. It started when we were engaged, we both worked retail and it was the easiest night of the week to get our employer to agree on letting us off every week. We have stuck with it because we like the fact we dont have to fight crowds. It works now because Grandma babysits, but we are sure it will be changing in the future.
We went to see Avatar last night, two thumbs up here. I know most of you probably have already seen it, considering it is the top grossing movie ever. I had to go see what the fuss was all about. I knew very little about it before I went, except it had really great special effects, and if I get motion sick(which I do) not to watch it in 3D. So we went to the non-3D version. The story was really good, it frustrated me because I just wanted to yell at the people on the screen, "Didn't you learn anything from American history? Just because people are different then you doesn't mean they are not people!" If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about. Anyway it is really good so if you haven't seen it I suggest you do.
