A day on the wild side!

We went to the zoo on Wednesday. We've gone every year sense Dean was born and it gets better every year. I love to see him get excited to see animals that he recognizes. The best reaction this year is when we came around a corner and he saw the giraffe's. He started to yell "giraffe giraffe" and started to take off running. He also liked the zebras and monkey's. Of course we can't for get to ride the train. we saw the elephant show and learned that one of the elephants is almost done with her 22 month pregnancy (I'm so glad I'm not an elephant) I think Dean had fun even though he was suffering through allergies. He and cousin Ty were wiped out on the way home.

Easter

Thursday before Easter we got together with my sister's family and decorated Easter eggs.
It was so much fun. The two boys had colored hands for a day or two, but it was well worth it.

On Easter Saturday we went to my parents house and had lunch and an egg hunt. We then took the two boys down to the IFA store and saw the baby chicks and ducks. They really liked that.

blah blah blah

I've been feeling about 90% better as of late. That is with no medication also. I still have a few bad days or moments of the day but I already feel better than I did the whole pregnancy with Dean. yeah! anyway I'm just really bored today now that the weather decided to be cold again. It's been nice to go outside and get some fresh air. We have made several trips to the park and Rob's been taking Dean on bike rides again (Dean's favorite thing to do).
I actually felt well enough on Friday that I cleaned my bathroom and our fish bowl. this a big accomplishment for me. As you can tell not a whole lot is going on in my life right now. Just taking it Day by Day.

Surprise!

I know it's been a while sense I last wrote and I just wanted to let everyone know that I am not dead though some days I feel like I'm close. After my miscarriage last September we decided to wait until this spring to try again. Considering that I have not been able to get pregnant without the help of fertility drugs we just didn't taking the drugs. Well about a week into January I started feeling sick then about three days into it it started feel all to familiar and so I took the test and It said I was pregnant. I had mix emotions at first but now I am excited.

Those of you who knew me during my last pregnancy knows that i was sick the full time. I was so bad the first trimester that I was getting IV treatments for dehydration. until we tried what I call the miracle pill, zofran. It didn't make the sickness go completely away, but made it barable. Well this time around I knew what has worked out before so I got on Zofran right away, plus the have the gineric, which was not around three years ago. I have still been pretty sick this time around but not as much as last time and I'm not sure if that is just because I'm not or because I got on the medicine that worked for me before it got to bad or/and if it is because I know sort of what to expect.

I'm feeling pretty optimistic this week, I feel like I'm getting better. hopfully it stays that way. I'm about 11 1/2 weeks along now. I'm due September 15. There is something about september birthdays in my family I just hope that this little one has her(we can only hope) own birthday. The Doctor even mentioned that we could even try for 9/9/09 if we wanted to. Anyway I just thought I would update everyone on what's been going on. Now that i am feeling a little bit better maybe I will keep this blog updated more often.

Another year has come and gone!

Thank goodness 2008 is over. Over all I had a ruff year. with family and friends passing away and me having a miscarriage in September it has been a struggle spiritually for me this year. But I want to talk about the things that I am thankful for.
I am thankful that my husband has a job that has not been effected by the economy.
I am thankful that I can stay home with my son.
I am thankful that we started an annual family vacation with Rob's family, so I can actually get to know some of them.
I am thankful for people in my ward who never give up trying to be my friend (because I am not a very out going person)
I am thankful that I accomplished most of my New years resolutions from last year.
I am thankful to have a better relationship with my mother-in-law than I did a year ago. (We have never had a bad relationship, just not much of one.)
Most important I am thankful to have a husband who loves me no matter what I do, who puts up with me, who knows how I tick better than I do sometimes.

We talked about what we are thankful for or what brings joy into our lives, in relief society today. It was really good and made me realize that I need to focus on what brings me joy and not the bad things that happen. after all, "all these things shall give thee experience, and be for thy good." (D&C 122:7)

I am looking forward to 2009. It seems to be off to a good start. I am a big believer in new years resolutions. I've heard the statistics that only about 50% of people who make them actually accomplish them. I say that is because they are trying for something to big without making baby step to get there. If you just say that you want to lose 50lbs this year, you will most likely fail, but if you set smaller goals like losing 5 lbs this month, or even smaller than that, say I am going to eat the recommended calories every day this week. Make those goals as small as you need them, so they work for you. This goes for any goal you set, whether it is a spiritual, financial, educational, etc. taking on to much can be overwhelming! What are some of the goals you have this year? or that you accomplished last year?
