Where have we been?

Between a new house and new blog and just being busy it has been awhile sense I updated. This is what we have been up too.


Memorial Day weekend we went and visited Rob's and my grandparents graves (those who have passed on). this took us to American Fork, Murry, Brigham City and Newton.

In June we had the annual Steiner Reunion. This year we went to a cabin that had entertainment right there on the property.

 We also had ziplines. one over land and one over the water.

(we will not discuss my graceful fall.)

So far in July we have had fun on the fourth of July. We went to the parade, went out to eat for lunch, Rob and Dean went with cousins to see the movie Cars 2, and we ended the day with a wienie roast and fireworks at our house.

Easter 2011

 The Easter bunny hides baskets at our house. Brigs was hidden under an end table. He got a doodle pad, wooden blocks and two cars, but I think his favorite was the M&M's.

Dean's basket was hidden at the bottom of the stairs. He got a flute, harmonica, one car, some M&M's, and a chocolate bunny. he loves his new instruments!

As much as we loved Brig's curls it was getting long and old ladies kept calling him a girl (even at church where he was wearing pants of course).
It was getting a little out of control!

I didn't want to pay for a haircut and the only hair-cutting I've done is Dean's and Rob's. That wasn't going to work for Brig and his ears. SO I watched some clips on you tube and went at it!

Don't worry his curls are still there!

General Conference April 2011

I really enjoying talks from our prophet and other authorities of the Church. This conference was no exception. The talk that stood out to me the most in my personal life was Elder Lynn G. Robbins.(Sorry only vocal availability) I am convinced that I've enrolled in Parenting 505 and need all the help I can get! Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's (also only available in vocal) talk was another favorite of mine, explaining how conference is put together and that they are all human. Something I feel a lot of people out there need reminding of. Elder Quentin L. Cook gave a great talk on women in the Saturday morning session.

I think a comment on a blog I follow sums up my overall thoughts of the conference.

"A talk on parents as equal partners that didn’t use the word “preside,” and that said not to judge women who worked outside the home, and one about parenting (gender neutral.) Two talks that mentioned fathers performing nurturing actions, (one getting up and comforting his child, and one playing with his kids.) Admission that the GAs are human, and a reminder that revelation can come slowly and gradually, like the dawn."

we found a house!

We are moving to Spanish Fork! we close on our house no later then April 20th! Here are some pictures.

It is 3280 square feet, four car garage, unfinished basement, .03 of an Acres. three bedrooms.
You cant see real well, but the view out the back is gorgeous. no homes behind us, just a large farmers field.
